Saturday night I gave the cat a bath. Satruday afternoon I cleaned the rest of the apartment. Waste helped. Then I took a shower. Then I decided that meant bath time for the kitten. He has fleas. He has to be bathed every two weeks until they die. Plus, the idea of everything in my home, even the cat, being clean all at once was very appealing to me.
The cat isn't hard to bathe as far as bathing cats goes. He's okay with the water. What he isn't okay with is the soap. He doesn't like to be wet and not allowed to lick himself. He doesn't like to be wet and not allowed to run around and shake and get dry. He's not the kind of cat that likes to be petted, so all the rubbing involved in shampooing is like toture to him.
I know this. That is why I wear a rubber rainslicker to wash him.
I even put up the hood.
Somhow the cat in all his flailing... managed to get a claw in my left ear. Ow Ow Ow Ow OW.
I got the claw out of my ear. It wasn't in like my ear canal, it was just stuck into my actual ear.
Somehow the claw landed the cat dangling from my second earring from the bottom. It hurts so much. It bled.
So, now I have a mostly healed, semi brown bruise on my ear, followed by scabs on both the front and back and a swollen, bloody earring (as well as three other earrings)...
