I went ahead and had it towed home. Yesterday, Waste rode down to the auto parts store on my bike and bought some spark plugs. The spark plugs were not the problem. I think it's the fuel pump, although Mom'sBoyfriend claimed it could be any one of a number of things. Anyway, at least until this weekend I am hopping on the bus every morning.
This morning on the bus was scary. For starters, I can't really understand the schedule we have at home. Part of the scariness came from the fact that I thought the bus came by outside of the house at quarter til and quarter after (the bus here only runs every half hour). It turns out that it comes on the half hours exactly. So, I spent twenty minutes standing outside wondering what I had done wrong.
Otherwise, the bus ride was fairly uneventful.
One of my uncles is having bypass surgery today. They think they are going to do five, possibly more, possibly less. Mom is supposed to call when it's over.
My weekend was very uneventful since I couldn't really get out to do anything. My laundry is still not done and I have discovered mud on these pants (which I wore 3 times last week). I think it might be from way back when I went hiking.
I think after work today I am going to get on my bike and see if I am capable of riding it to and from work and if it is faster than the bus. I am estimating that the back roads way to work is less than five miles. Surely I can ride that in less than an hour. Cause it takes an hour on the bus.
Depending on how dead Jerry (my car) is, I might be shopping for a new car soon. I can afford a car payment if I don't have to support Waste. In theory anyway. If the bike ride isn't too terrible I might just fix Jerry and then not drive him too much while I save up and then see about buying a used car outright. I just don't like debt.
I think that's all the major news. My car is dead. I am sad. No new motherboard for me until I find out how much this is going to cost.
