On Saturday, we attempted to eat the world Breakfast out -- I had pancakes with walnuts and bananas. Then brunch with friends - I had huevos rancheros. Then my husband and I went for soft serve (mine with caramel sauce) in the middle of the afternoon. After that, we got Indian take out for dinner and had cookies and milk for dessert.
It was a lot of food.
Sunday, we mostly just hung out. It's nice to do sometimes. My husband would mark Sunday down as the first time in 9 months that he spent more than maybe ten minutes all alone in our house. The baby and I went to the grocery store, leaving him behind.
Yesterday, the baby and I went shopping. She got some new clothes; I got some new make-up.
I tried on two things at a store with dressing rooms that were absurdly small. I had to leave the door open, because the baby didn't begin to fit in there in her stroller with me. The mom in the next cube over was doing a similar thing with a cart.
And then neither garment was what I wanted.
The car says it was over 100 in the town where we were. I believe it. I actually turned the car on to get the AC running with the doors (and hatch) open before I even start unloading the stroller basket. It was really hot.
And then the baby voiced her concerns about how late her nap was at the top of her lungs for fully twenty minutes of the drive home, including several minutes after I could see in the car seat mirror that she was actually asleep. So, that was fun.
