Both the baby and the dog ought to have baths today. I'm conflicted about bathing the dog. On the one hand, she smells like dog and clearly needs a bath. On the other hand, she doesn't care and she isn't truly stinky yet. I'm really trying hard to think about all of my water use before I use it.
I feel like I could probably manage to reuse the baby's water for the dog, without even trying too terribly hard. Although it might get a little cold...
The baby definitely ate some (tiny, tiny) bit of butternut squash this morning. She did not appear to enjoy it. She did, however, manage to get squash everywhere, including her mouth, in a most delightful baby-like fashion.
Additionally, she is staying upright while sitting for like ten or more seconds without anyone holding on to her. It's very exciting. She's not so good that we'd let her sit without being surrounded in pillows or on the bed, and she can't get herself up yet (she is trying through). Still. I'm impressed.
And Friday night, she basically rolled over back to front, although she didn't quite stick the landing. She looked like she was all the way over, but she kept ending up right back on her back. Maybe she was rolling both ways on purpose? Probably not.
It's a lot to have going on all at once, honestly. I'm kind of exhausted...
