My husband wants to maybe take down the swing, since it gets less and less use, and because he "just doesn't like stuff." He doesn't like having stuff, he doesn't like moving stuff, he really doesn't like when I insist we care for stuff properly in a way that's not convenient for him, he doesn't like when I fill the house with stuff arranged so that he keeps walking into it...
(I hope you're understanding that he isn't entirely unreasonable on the point about the things. He can get a little extreme, but I'm probably in need of that if our house is to remain orderly. It might be reactionary.)
So, when something comes in, he wants something comparable to come out.
When I went to put her back in the crib, I was like "what is this texture?"... Yeah, the whole damned net was in the crib and I had set the baby on top of it. So, I had to pick up my drowsy-maybe-already-asleep baby and hold her while I pulled the netting off the crib, then she immediately started crying when I set her down again, so it was another twenty minutes before I got to go back to bed myself.
The net is in no condition to be put back up. We are going to see how we do without one. I have a feeling it won't be considered a valid substitute for the addition of a big, red play yard though.
