He ran into the house and first jumped on every single piece of furniture and meowed and then went and double checked his stuff. Splashed his water, hopped in the litter box and played around (he plays in it more than he uses it), meowed at his food, made sure the sinks were still there, and then curled up on my lap and went to sleep.
He is not as stupid as I thought. It has taken him six months, but he discovered that the bathroom door is a push to get in. He has stopped trying to reach under the door and pull it open. I was very proud of him.
I talked to BusStopGuy last night. He is very nice. He is also seven years older than I am. We didn't make any plans, but I do think he will call me again. It went very well. I think we might actually go on a date. I don't know how I feel about the age thing. I'm not ruling him entirely out though. Older, unemployed musician... my mother would be so happy if I brought him home.
I also made a mix tape last night of Ani Difranco. For my boss. He didn't ask for it, but I was bored and I decided that he wants to hear Ani. I think he'll like it. If I can figure out how to tell him he needs to listen to it.
Popped the tape in at lunch, boss asked about it when he came in, asked to borrow it and listen to it.
I think he likes it. Although he just said "Ani is very angry isn't she?"...
I found a pot of lip balm on my floor last night. I think it's Josiah's. It's hemp seed oil limp balm. Anyway, my lips have been very very chapped lately and I was thinking I needed some sort of lip moisturizer... so I am considering it a gift from beyond. And I do realize that popular opinion is that you should not use chapstick you randomly find within your home. Particularly if the lid appears to have mold growing on it. Don't bother emailing me to let me know that.
