I didn't even own an alarm clock until college. Mom just woke me up every morning. I think that's part of the problem.
It took me like five years to understand why you would hit the snooze bar. I mean, who wants the damned thing to go off again? Then I got the idea... the point is to wake up and not be late.
The issue at the moment is that my bedroom has no heat. I know I've been whining about this for three weeks now. I still don't have heat. I keep asking my landlord. He keeps saying "any day now". I have a half hooked up gas powered fireplace in my bedroom. It will give me heat. It will be really nice.
Of course, I might not get to enjoy it until next winter at this rate....
So, every morning now, I wake up, I turn off the alarm clock. Today I even went and brushed my teeth. Then I decide it's too cold to be out of the blankets and climb back in. I actually get up some time after "at the last minute", catch a late bus and apologize when I get to work.
Today I got up and was out the door in 90 seconds. Granted, my teeth were already brushed, but still. I think if I keep up this fast paced style of getting ready, I might be able to handle the cold and get to work on time....
