Mom: Where?
Mom'sBoyfriend: Over there in that tree. See it?
Mom: Yeah.
Mary: Yeah.
[We all walk another 20 yards or so]
Mom: I lied. I didn't really see the bird. I don't know why I did either. I just thought it would be easier, but then I realised, what are you going to do? I just didn't see the bird.
Mary: I lied too, Mom. I didn't want to be the only one who couldn't see it.
