I took an inventory of her wardrobe the other day and I've got some shopping to do. She has basics at the ready, because we have very thoughtful family and friends, but it might be a stretch to get through a whole week with what is on hand.
I really hate shopping, and I find baby clothes particularly challenging, but I do know this hardly constitutes a problem.
My work contacted me today, for some basic Q&A. I was perfectly happy to answer. After working for half an hour, a couple emails, one phone call, a little documentation, I was amazed at how keyed up I was. I have some thinking to do about that. I think this time at home has really brought me to a less frenetic place, or maybe I'm just out of practice. It was not a healthy feeling.
And now I need to go sit on the floor and play with a baby.
